Privacy policy

Hentkor (https://hentkor.net, the "service") runs an adults-only catalog and protects the personal information of the people who use it. This policy applies from 29 September 2026.

Information we collect

When you create an account we receive your email address, display name, and password. The password is stored in a form that cannot be read back. We do not keep the original password.

While you use the service, your account may also hold:

• Favorites, likes, and artist follows
• Reading history and the page you stopped on
• Comments and the time they were posted
• Tags you have hidden
• A login session and the technical details needed to keep the connection working

Age confirmation, theme, and language may be stored in your browser.

Why we use it

We use personal information to identify your account, keep you signed in, send verification and password-reset mail, provide your library and continue-reading, recommend works from your history, prevent abuse, and answer questions. We do not sell personal information for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account information stays while the account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it without delay except where the law requires us to keep a record. Comments may be removed with the account, or the author name may be replaced when the thread still needs context.

Processors and transfers

We may rely on other companies to send email, host the website, and store data. That infrastructure may be outside South Korea. We limit those tasks to what the service needs.

Cookies and browser storage

A session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser may store age confirmation, theme, and language. Clearing cookies can sign you out.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, delete, or stop the use of your personal information. Library details are available on your account page. For deletion and other requests, write to legal@hentkor.net.

Minors

The service is only for people aged 19 or older. We do not collect personal information from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

Security

Passwords are stored as hashes, and data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to what the work requires.

Changes

When this policy changes, we post the new text here and update the effective date. Changes that matter to you are also announced in the service.

Measurement, ads, and affiliates

The service may keep its own record of page use, reading, recommendation clicks, and ad or affiliate clicks. A record can include an anonymous visit id, a member id when signed in, language, work id, placement, device category, and the referring host. It does not include an IP address, email, or password. Work tags and taste are not sent to an outside ad network. They are used only inside the service to choose recommendations and affiliate placements. Affiliate items are labeled, and a click goes to a registered destination.
